If you’re a Target shopper, you’ve probably seen the displays for the retailer’s new household products line called Everspring.
Everspring includes 70+ items like laundry detergent, all-purpose cleaner and paper towels.
“Developed by Target’s internal design team as a down-to-earth solution that is up to Earth’s standards, Everspring products include ingredients and components that are derived from plants or use other renewable materials, as well as post-consumer recycled paper.”
What makes Everspring different compared to other “clean” brands like Mrs. Meyers, Seventh Generation and Method? The price, according to Target.
The retailer says Everspring products cost 20% less than comparable items.
I used a gift card that I earned through Fetch Rewards, my favorite cash back app, to purchase seven items from the new Everspring collection.

1. Everspring Free & Clear Liquid Laundry Detergent – 100 fl oz
I was skeptical about trying Everspring’s laundry detergent because I’ve never bought unscented laundry detergent before. To put it to the test, I washed dirty towels and a dog bed. The laundry detergent did a great job of removing the bad odors with both loads. Priced at $11.99 for a 100 fluid ounce container, it’s far from the cheapest laundry detergent at the store. However, it seems to be priced about the same as other eco-friendly brands. I’m not sure if I’ll purchase this item in the future.
2. Everspring 100% Recycled Paper Towels
I bought a two-pack of Everspring’s 100% recycled paper towels for $2.99 and started cleaning the house to see how the product compares to my preferred brands: Bounty, Kirkland Signature (Costco) and Presto (Amazon). My general rule is to wait for sales and buy high-quality paper towels when they’re around $1 a roll. I don’t like the cheap paper towels that are sold at dollar stores. Everspring’s paper towels felt a little rougher than my preferred brands, but they did a good job of cleaning up household messes. If I could find them on sale for closer to $1 a roll, I would definitely purchase them again.
3. Everspring Geranium & Herbs Liquid Dish Soap – 18 fl oz
An 18-ounce bottle of Everspring’s dish soap cost me $2.79, about $1 more than Palmolive. I thought Everspring’s product smelled nice and did a decent job of cleaning my dishes, but the soap is thin and doesn’t create as many bubbles as competitors like Palmolive and Dawn. I appreciate that Everspring uses a biodegradable formula and the product isn’t tested on animals. However, this was my least favorite item from the test.
4. Everspring Mandarin & Ginger Liquid Hand Soap – 12 fl oz
Next up is Everspring’s foaming hand soap, also priced at $2.79. The mandarin and ginger scent surprised me in a good way. I did find that the soap dried out my hands, so I had to apply lotion after using this soap. I’m a big fan of Mrs. Meyer’s hand soap (basil scent) and don’t think I’ll be switching to Target’s brand. Still, I enjoyed trying out this product.
5. Everspring Lemon & Mint Glass Cleaner – 28 fl oz
Move over, Windex! When I first sprayed Everspring’s glass cleaner on my bathroom mirror, I was hooked on the smell. I purchased the lemon and mint variety. The scent isn’t overpowering at all. As for the product performance, Everspring’s glass cleaner left surfaces with a streak-free shine. Priced at $2.99 for a 28 fluid ounce bottle, it’s slightly less expensive than Seventh Generation’s glass cleaner. I would definitely buy it again.
6. Everspring Lemon & Mint All Purpose Cleaner – 28 fl oz
Everspring’s all-purpose cleaner for $2.99 also has several fragrances to choose from, including lemon and mint. I used this product in the kitchen and bathroom, with good results. No film was left behind. If I had to choose a favorite item that I tested, this would be it — because of the smell. Target says the cleaner is “naturally fragranced” with plant extracts and essential oils. This one is a keeper!
7. Everspring Lavender & Bergamot Multi-Surface Cleaning Wipes
Everspring’s multi-surface cleaning wipes are designed to clean surfaces without ammonia or harsh fumes. I paid $2.89 for 35 lavender and bergamot-scented wipes. The scent of these wipes is subtle and pleasant. My issue was with using the product. The wipes were too thin, so I had to use multiple wipes for simple tasks. I typically only use cleaning wipes in my car, so this isn’t a product that I would buy on a regular basis.
Final Thought
If you purchase items from brands like Mrs. Meyers, Seventh Generation and Method, you’ll welcome the new choices from Target’s Everspring household products line.
Overall, I thought the products were high-quality and cost slightly less than other “clean” brands.

I fell in love with the coming hand soap while staying at a friends house over the summer. The fragrance is what hooked. Me so even though I was away for 7 weeks I immediately ordered a bunch of products online and had them shipped to my house right away. The hand soap is my favorite for sure. I love the lemon and mint. The glass cleaner and multipurpose are also amazing. I will be switching my wish soap too!
Do your products have any disinfect ing qualities?
These are not disinfectants
I find these products very deceptive. I am really discouraged that while calling themselves “natural” or “clean” products they use palm kernel oil and sodium lauryl sulfate. To use palm kernel oil is totally irresponsible. The use of palm of any kind is the reason why the rainforests are being destroyed in record time and will be the cause of the extinction of orangutans in about 15 years. The product presentation of these cleaning products is a total misrepresentation of what the products truly are.
I am a Target fan, so I decided to try their Ever Spring Dish Soap (Lavender& Bergamot). I wanted to compare it to Seventh Generation dish soap. The first thing I had to deal with was the lid that you pulled up to squeeze not work. I had to use a needle to open the tip of the lid. I used it and thought it did a decent job. The lid became clogged as I continued to use the soap. I had to really soak the lid and even use a great deal of time scrubbing it to get rid of the dried soap. I think for that reason I will probably go back to the Seventh Generation product.
Bought their lavender & bergamot all purpose cleaner. Appreciate not tested on animals and biodegradable formula, but just read all ingredients and see palm oil (WHAT?) and discovered I can’t reuse the bottle. Even with a wrench I couldn’t unscrew the cap to reuse the bottle! Really? Will try something else.
Ever Spring toilet paper is of NO use! 80% of the time when wiping, it ends up in a crumpled mess and can not wipe!!
Ever Spring “100% Recycled Bath Tissue” is 50% recycled AND wrapped in PLASTIC!! Plastic is not recyclable — we are told this is not economically feasible. If these products claim to be environmentally responsible, eliminate the use of plastics. Thank you.
