after some research, I decided to purchase them. And now I'm going to share all the research that

led up to my decision, the three things that you need to know before you buy these Costco contact

lenses now before i get to those three things i want to see if we're on the same page as far as

costco in general on any day of the week you can go into costco and most things are going to be a

good deal but to get a great deal you may need to follow the ads that costco sends you or perhaps

buy some particular kirkland signature products but costco isn't always going to be the best deal

if you clip coupons or follow sale ads from a number of other retailers you may be able to

find a lower price on many items but although it's not always the best deal costco makes it easy

costco's contact lenses now when i first learned about costco's contact lenses i wanted to know

who made them because it doesn't say anywhere on the box. It says Kirkland Signature premium daily

disposable contact lenses. Of course, Costco doesn't have a contact lens factory somewhere

They are partnering with a major brand and they're putting the Kirkland Signature label on them

So I had to do some digging. At my last eye exam, I just asked my eye doctor who makes Costco's

contact lenses and he told me this. He said, Costco's Kirkland Signature daily disposable

lenses are made by Cooper Vision. And the Costco lenses are the exact same as Cooper Visions my day daily disposable lenses

But you don just have to take my word or his word for it In my hand is my prescription and I show it to you now You can see here that it says my day and then in parentheses kirkland one day more proof here in the next picture it shows on the left the trial pair of lenses that

supply my first stop costco.com and a box of 180 kirkland signature lenses they sold for 117.99

an instant rebate of 35 was available if you bought two boxes and 70 for four boxes i bought

two boxes of lenses and got that 35 promo offer the final price came out to 200.98 now i'm going

to show you how that compares to cooper visions my day lenses here is a screenshot from 1-800

contacts and when i went there i noticed that there are 90 lenses per box with my day not 180

like costco so i needed to buy four boxes in this price comparison instead of two to make everything

all fair at the time of this review each box sold for 67.99 so that is a total of 271.96 for a six

month supply now this order of my day lenses from 1-800-context was eligible for a 25 rebate but not

instant savings you had to print out a form mail it in and wait for a prepaid card but i factored

that into and six months of my day lenses ended up costing 246.96 when the price of the lenses and

than buying the My Day lenses from 1-800-Contacts. Number three, how do you order Costco contact lenses

If you've decided that you wanna try out Costco's contact lenses, the first thing you're gonna need is a prescription

So at your eye exam just ask your eye doctor for a trial package of the My Day lenses Again those are the same as the Costco lenses And make sure that they include Kirkland on your prescription

That way, when you go to Costco.com to place your order, they're going to accept your prescription

Another tip I've got for you is to have your eye doctor email you a copy of your prescription instead of just printing it out

That is important because Costco recommends that you upload a copy of your prescription

instead of having them call your eye doctor to validate the prescription

Of course, if you just have a printout, you could always scan it or take a picture of it

and then upload it to the website. But having it in email format just makes it all easier

Just download that email, upload it to Costco's website, and then you will get your order a lot faster

After you have filled in the prescription information, you'll be able to go to the checkout page

And something different about Costco.com compared to the club, a lot of members know this, is that Costco.com will take more than just Visa cards

You can also use a Discover credit card or a MasterCard, still no American Express

By the way, Costco says that it accepts some vision insurance. You can also use FSA funds to pay for your contact lens purchase

Now, you can expect to wait five to seven business days to have your order delivered

So make sure you're not running too low on contacts before you place your order

In my case, I ordered on the 20th. The order was shipped on the 26th and then it arrived on the 31st

So about in that time range. A couple tips now for non-Costco members, but they could help out Costco members as well

The first one is to ask your eye doctor for a price match. If you get a prescription for the Kirkland Signature Lenses

your eye doctor may be willing to match the price and give you the My Day Lenses instead

Tip number two is to use a cashback app or website. Now you can forget all about the Costco brand and go for the MyDay brand by looking for deals with other reputable online sellers like 1-800-CONTACTS is just one example, but this is going to take more work to get a lower price

I've heard that there can be really great deals around Black Friday, and if you can combine those with cashback offers from Ibotta

or Rakuten or a top cashback you may be able to lower that price to less than what costco is charging for the lenses so this is going to require a little bit more work first you going to have

without all of that extra work. Some final thoughts here. If you wear daily disposable

contact lenses, you may be able to save some money by trying out these Costco Kirkland Signature

contact lenses instead of the Cooper Vision My Day lenses. But this is really important. You don't

want to buy contact lenses from Costco just because they sell them. You want to make sure

that you have the right contact lenses for you. So here's my advice, and this is exactly what I did

At your next eye exam, you want to ask for a trial pair of the MyDay lenses because, again, that's the same thing as the Kirkland Signature lenses

But don't stop there. Your doctor may have a couple other lenses that they think may be a good fit for your eyes

If you wear daily lenses, you'll probably get seven packs for each of the trial pairs. That'll be 21 days

And at the end of those three weeks, you can decide which lenses feel best on your eyes

And then you want a price compare. After testing them all out, you'll be able to make a decision based on both price and comfort and at least now you know how much the Costco contact lenses cost

For me, the Costco lenses were the best. I've been wearing them for a few weeks now. I've got them in right now and I really like how I'm able to get through the whole day without them drying out in my eyes
