If you're like me, you added a credit card or other payment information to your Roku

account when you first set up your device, and then maybe you never used Roku Pay

Personally, I like to sign up for paid streaming services directly, not through third parties

like Roku. Removing this information is pretty easy. First, log into your Roku account, the website address my.roku.com

Then click on payment methods. This is the screen where you go to update your payment method if you use Roku Pay, but

in my case, I'm choosing to delete the payment method. For that, scroll to the bottom of this page, and right below your billing address information

and phone number, you'll see the option to remove the payment method

When you click on that, this pop-up will appear. And Roku is just reminding you that if you remove a payment method, you won't be able

to make purchases through Roku Pay anymore. After processing this change, my Roku payment information, gone immediately

So why did I do this? Roku announced its second security breach of 2024 in April

Roku said both incidents were the result of credential stuffing. That's when hackers obtain stolen usernames and passwords from one platform and then attempt
