The Simple Guide to Watching Yellowstone Without Cable

Streaming the hit drama Yellowstone is more complicated than it should be.

In this article and the featured video below, I’ll review the ways to watch Yellowstone without a cable or satellite TV subscription. Let’s get started!

How to Stream New Episodes of Yellowstone

New episodes of Yellowstone premiere on the Paramount Network, which is not the same as Paramount+. You need a pay-TV subscription to get Paramount Network.

Besides cable and satellite, a handful of live TV streaming services offer this network.

Philo is the cheapest service that carries Paramount Network, but premium services like YouTube TV, Hulu Live and Sling TV also have it. Compare the best live TV services here.

TIP: Before you sign up for a live TV streaming service, search the channel lineup to make sure that Paramount Network is available. To save money, sign up at the start of the new season and cancel as soon as it ends.

How to Stream Past Seasons of Yellowstone

You may have heard that Peacock is the streaming home of Yellowstone’s past seasons, not Paramount+.

It doesn’t make sense to most cord cutters, but it’s true.

Peacock has Yellowstone Seasons 1-4 available to stream for its Premium members at the time of this writing. Season 4 was made available on Peacock as of March 28, 2022.

Peacock Premium is inexpensive, but there are other options to catch up on past seasons.

There have been marathons on Pluto TV and Paramount Network. Pluto TV is free, but you’ll need a pay-TV subscription for Paramount Network as I mentioned earlier in this article.

If you already have a pay-TV subscription, I suggest that you add Yellowstone to your DVR.

That’s what I did with my YouTube TV subscription. And thanks to one of those recent marathons, I have every single episode of Yellowstone available to stream.

Best of all, I can skip the ads since I have the DVR version in my YouTube TV library.

Finally, another option is to purchase single episodes or full seasons of Yellowstone through places like Amazon Prime Video and the Apple iTunes Store.

TIP: Don’t want a live TV service? Buy a Season Pass from Amazon Prime Video or the Apple iTunes Store for the current season. New episodes are available within 24 hours of their cable TV premiere.

How to Stream Yellowstone Spinoffs

Paramount+ is also cashing in on Yellowstone’s popularity. The affordable on-demand streaming service is the exclusive home of Yellowstone spinoffs like 1883.

Remember, Paramount+ is separate from the Paramount Network available through pay-TV services.

  1. I was lured into sling tv because of Yellowstone season 5 being available. However sling only gave me first three episodes then they cut me off…..unless I pay another 6 dollars? What kind of business is that? I just think that is wrong. Anyone else have that issue?
