July 2024 Streaming TV Updates

YouTube Premium’s Jump Ahead feature: Powered by AI and viewership data, this feature lets you easily skip ahead to the most interesting parts of videos. It’s already available for Android devices and rolling out to iOS devices in the coming weeks. Only YouTube Premium subscribers will get access to this feature.

Paramount Plus Price Hike: Paramount+ is raising prices later this summer. For new and existing subscribers, Paramount+ with SHOWTIME will increase by $1 a month to $12.99. This starts on August 20 for new customers and a month later for existing customers. Paramount+ Essential increases by $2 a month to $7.99, but only for new customers. Annual plans will stay at their current price.

Verizon’s New Bundles: Verizon Home Internet customers can now save money when they bundle their internet plan with streaming services. Examples: $10 a month for Netflix & Max, $10 a month for the Disney Bundle and $10 a month for YouTube Premium.

DIRECTV STREAM DVR Upgrade: The live TV service is lifting the 30 episodes max restriction for its unlimited DVR. Recordings can still be saved for up to nine months. (REVIEW)
